❊ About Us
Why This Site Exists
We are a group of residents who came together after learning that a new STM bus route would pass through our residential street.
Like many neighbors, we support public transit and understand its importance. What concerned us was not the idea of transit itself, but the way the change unfolded. Communication was limited, timelines were unclear, and residents were unable to find a clearly shared safety assessment explaining how a quiet residential street was evaluated for regular bus service.
As we asked questions, responsibility appeared to shift between the STM and the City. This made it difficult to understand who was responsible for assessing safety, responding to concerns, and ensuring that local impacts were properly considered.
Over time, it became clear that our situation was not unique. Similar decisions could affect any residential street, often without residents being meaningfully informed or consulted.
This site exists to bring together information, documents, timelines, and updates in one place. Our goal is not to oppose transit, but to advocate for transparency, accountability, and a simple principle that should guide public decisions everywhere:
Safety must come before service.
